Time for an overhaul?

I've noticed that SB is getting slow lately...very slow. I don't have this issue on any of the other boards or any other sites I regularly visit. With SB, it is significant enough to be noticeable. I'm a supporting member, so I'm not waiting for ads to pop up. It's just the board.

The slowness overall though - we will not deny that the site CAN be (and should be) faster. We have unfortunately outgrown our Database Server. We are looking into a faster server with faster hard drives / processors / and more memory which will ultimately improve the overall performance of ScubaBoard as a whole.

The problem is we just keep getting more and more members who want to be here.

I wonder why?
