Tamas:
Oldie but a goodie! Wasn't there a CSI episode with this in it as well?

Yeah, Otter just told me the same thing... I missed that episode!! Could you imagine!! One minute kelp, the next minute pulp....

WannaLaguna:
Hey Tamas, I just saw your location! I'm in Toronto too. How do you feel about this cold and not being able to dive for 8 months out of the year!!

In short - SUCKS! I have been toying with the idea of moving somewhere where it's warm 80% of the year, not just 20%

It may or may not be an urban legend, but if it's actually true, it doesn't seem like grounds for a Darwin award. Those are given to individuals who do the human race a favor by removing themselves from the gene pool through an act of astounding, almost unbelievable stupidity. This guy was just diving and got scooped, which I suppose could happen to anyone hanging fifteen feet below the surface on a safety stop. That makes him unlucky, but not an idiot who'd qualify for a Darwin.
