Down 1.8 pounds. Just finished 3 days of protein loading for my race and now I have a few days of adding carbs back in... I'll post a race report somewhere by the end of the weekend. Thanks to everyone in this forum. It's a really cool community that we have going here. Wish me luck!

Oh, in case you're wondering "what race?" A sprint distance triathlon! 650m o/w swim, 24km mile bike and 5km run...
 
I've had a challenge weighing in with my new job. I can't do it until Friday this week.
Hopefully it won't be as bad as I think it is.. :)
 
I am still holding the same. No gain or loss.

As for me... -2# Wooohoo! Second goal made, 30# lost! :-)

And I fnally got over being intimidated and swam with the Advanced Masters class at my gym tonite... well, I wasn't the slowest. Far from the fastest. But swimming with others certain;y makes the workout go a lot faster... 3200 yds. My longest workout to date

I have lost 5 lbs since beginning my diet last Sat morn. I'm sure a good deal of it is that initial water weight that you lose quickly in the beginning. I have been eating plenty, not starving but I've eaten a lot of carrot sticks and dill pickles instead of cookies and potato chips. Which is really saying something for me because I love to snack. Just gotta pick the right ones.

But I'm still having a few flashbacks of that Mounds cake...

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I'll post a link to my race report in the exercise thread. I'm feeling a lot more prepared going into this than I was my DIR-F class :)

Hey Foo.....be careful of those pickles, they are loaded with sodium which make you retail water...BIG TIME! I've had to get over my pickle addiction because of it, I only have one at the first of my week.
