Considering staying at Sueno Del Mar Hotel in May. Wanted a AC room in West End that wasn't an AI. Anyone stay there lately? How's the Dive OP and boats? Hoping Roatan Man might enlighten me with his wisdom! Thanks in advance.

Well established, long term operation. It's pretty much so AI in every deffinition, but it does allow you easy access to the non-dive diversions of the West End.

There are better qualified responders than I. Hoping that they read SCUBABoard....

You might want to check out Lands End. We stayed there last time and found it to be quite nice. It is not an AI. It's located on the far edge of West End, right on the water, in a very quiet part of town. Five minute walk to Sundowners, if you are familiar with the area. Lands End just got sold, so I can't speak to how well the new management is running the place, but the fellow that ran it before (Andy) was quite affable.

When in May are you going to Roatan?

The dive Op is the BEST on the Island.......
Haven't stayed in the Hotel so I can't help you out there..........

Located on the beach about 2 blocks from the nearest bar - which you will aprciate if you want to get some sleep......... It is one of the last buildings in West End this gives you a little insulation from all the traffic of West End while still having it very close when you want hang out there........................

Very nice building - just remodeled last year ---

The dive shop terriers are a couple of the neatest dogs on the island.......

That's guys for the info. Looking forward to the trip and the diving.
