Hello

I'm pretty new to diving and i'm using borrowed gear at the moment but I would like to slowly accuire my own gear in the next months as I get deeper into this great sport.

First on the list is a good BCD. I found a model here in Iceland wich I can get for a pretty good price but I can't seem to find much feedback on it on the internet.

The BC is a Poseidon W50 platform.

After reading several posts i'm pretty set on going for a BP/W setup from the start.

So what do you think of this BC? Anybody have any comments on it?

Well I went ahead and bought it and after 5 dives with it i'm very pleased... can't say I regret ditching the jacket configuration at all.

How does the harness work on it? I've been curious about the Poseidon Platform too, sounds like it has a cinch-type harness that's adjustable but one-piece. Not much info available on it though.

As far as my understanding of the "Cinch" system then yes it is.

You only have to adjust the length at the buckle (by your hip) which adjusts your shoulder harness aswell. Then the crotch strap is seperatly adjusted.

If you want further explanations or pics of the harness to illustrate this further that's no problem.
