this Saturday dive little devils cove ????

Is anyone interested Saturday in diving little devils cove? it is the cove located to the left of the mouth of devils cove directly across from Emerald point marina or carlos and charlies on Lake Travis?

I would be using robert's dive boat service to get us there and back. Please contact him to firm your reservation for SAturday.

This cove has rock walls and drops down to around 90 feet deep on the bottom of this cove. Dramatically different contour then going up into devils cove.

Thats why I would like to check it out.

Let me know if you are interested.

Dive would run 10 AM to 2 PM - 2 tanks, one for little devils cove for sure.

Hey but, we could both dive the other side of the wall since we both explored the interesting contour of the wall facing the river channel last weekend.

Hey Divers,

We have met the minimum number of divers to make it a firm event Saturday morning.

I am looking forward to 2 dives on sites we have not dove yet on Travis to explore new area's of the Lake beginning with Little Devils Cove across from Carlos and Charlies on the Lake.

Anthony, Bill, Jen and myself are for sure on Saturday.


Anyone else joining us?


Plenty of room on Roberts dive boat.


Any idea's where the 2nd dive site should be?


The sailboat that is split in 1/2 on West Wall or Cypress Wall by Cypress creek, or grottos off of Mansfield in the boat channel? Or sometimes island grottos?

i did this dive back during the lake travis cleanup ... we found a bar b que grill. lots of neon-green balls of algae, some momma perch with lots of little baby perch. it'd be interesting to hear how things have changed with the season!

I am looking forward to seeing everyone participating in the diving tomorrow morning.

It looks like another really super weather day with temperatures outside being in the high 70's.

How nice it is to live in Austin and get sunshine and warm weather on the Lake in December before Christmas.

We will see what we find after we explore little Devils cove and report back to the group.

Last weekend I saw about a 4 foot catfish in the rocks on the other side. Really big fish and very unfriendly, he left as soon as he noticed us in the rock wall.

Today was a blast.

It was really nice to get John from Louisiana to join us. He became a swamp diver and received one of those really cool Texas Swamp Divers cards that Jennifer made for the swamp land.

This was Johns first time on Lake Travis and little Devils COVE was even better than I expected.

We broke into 4 groups and dove both rock faces and the flat land area. See Roberts facebook for all the count of treasure found - too many anchors to bring up - somewhere around 6 recovered and 4 left for the next divers - 1/2 dozen sun glasses - fishing poles - shoes - swim goggles and the like

Visibility at Little Devils for me was somewhere between 10 and 15 feet horizontal. J

Just a great day, and the grotto's on the 2nd dive at Oasis Wall seem to be at 70-80 foot range for the top of them.

Water temp of course 63 degrees top to bottom, but the sun was out and the giant stride kept the wind off of us under the canvas cover.

Great day of diving, a real blast to see the divers who joined the group.


I am taking vacation time but staying in town this next week. Anyone have any ideas of diving please PM me and lets discuss.

Enjoyable dives, great group! The Giant Stride was a 1st class operation. Will definitely revist.
Look me up if you guys/gals venture down to south LA or Pensacola area and want to venture into the Gulf, and yes, we are DIMWIT friendly
