Surely you aren't *not* diving because it is raining?

After all, one is fresh water, the other fresh or salt...right?

Some of my best diving has been during rains. In fact on one of my longest single tank dives (2 hr 46 min) I came up to find a serious storm had nlown through the Dive Park. My gear had been scattered by the wind and there were no divers compared to the several dozen before I went under. The video I took that day was some of my best due to the even lighting.

Of course here at Casino Point the vis was a magnificent 5-10 ft and the clearing below 50 ft of two days ago had closed in once more. Only one dive today. Waaaaaa!

You have mentioned this problem before. What's up with the viz? Currents, winds or what? You mentioned that it's the worst you've seen in 35 years. Is that an exaggeration or should I wait to come back over. Was planning another trip in November or so.

I was in the area the end of July and dove both San Clemente and Catalina and thought it was pretty good. Loved the kelp and other interesting things I haven't seen before. With no reference it's hard to say but the weather was great when we were there. Smooth water and fun diving.
