Hello Boys And Girls!

I saw this fish on a YouTube video shot in Honduras. The way it swims reminds me of Mola Molas - flapping its dorsal and anal fins, but it's much smaller and shaped slightly different. If you watch the video, it's at about 01:55. The video itself is 08:50, and is really worth the time too.

Does anyone know what this is?

Taking far too long to load up the video, but from the thumb you put on the bottom of your mail, I'd say it looked like an oceanic triggerfish.

Most triggers swim using their dorsal and anal fins along with their tail fin, but on the oceanic triggerfish, the dorsal and anal fins are much longer than on a queen trigger, for example, and so they have a characteristic 'waggle' as they swim, which does make them look like a small version of a mola mola, albeit not as round.

Agree with Mark. Oceanic triggerfish. Saw a few of them in Roatan last week.

Definitely a Triggerfish :)

You guys are superb. Triggerfish, why didn't I think of that. There're plenty of Triggerfish where I dive but I've never seen one with dorsal and anal fins that big. Those on the video don't appear to have stripes and spots on their bodies and they look bigger than a Titan Triggerfish. So, I guess Mark hit the nail on its head, an Oceanic Triggerfish.

Yeah, the video takes some time to load but it's really a pleasure to watch.

Thank you all!

Wow the eel is really friendly.

Big trigger fish allright and I just love the Moray. I just don't want to put my fingers too near his mouth though LOL!

Thanks for the great video.
