Forecast models seem to be inconsistent on this one...

http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/at200524_model.html

reading the discussion they say it should continue moving south the southwestward...

the models above show it south of us or heading over Cayman

I can't deal with another one!

The silver lining in this one is that it's still very weak and unorganized unlike Emily who kept organizing and intensifying as she traveled across the Caribbean with nothing in her way

Ah, fercrissake! When does this end? (Yes, I know- supposedly about November...:shakehead) Oh well, I will be down at the end of November and will see how things are then, provided anything is left. :D All I can say is, Hang On Folks! As Bette Davis once said, "Fasten your seatbelts- it looks like it's gonna be a bumpy ride..."

I hate hurricane season!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me, too, but this one has been especially hateful to me. My home away from home is Cozumel (Emily and maybe Wilma), my sister lives in Slidell, LA (Katrina), and my mom lives in Lake Charles, LA (Rita). Everyone is (so far) OK, for which I am exceedingly thankful, but enough is enough!

We have already a big problem with food supply in cozumel.

One of the car ferries rammed into the pier at the Calica (mainland port) several days ago. Car ferries are suspended until the pier is repaired. Without the car ferry, guess what...no gasoline trucks, no food in the grocery stores because nothing can be brought over! If wilma does grace us with her presence...we are REALLY in trouble!

We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed for all of you. I'm headed over in December, so I am really hoping Wilma peters out.
