Sounds like a plan and a nice way to catch someone. I have seen the same kind of thing with child abuse (particularly infant shaking) where cameras have been hidden to catch the incidents. I guess you could also put it up around the rest of your house like the living room, areas where jewelry are stored and such to really cover yourself.
