The other two guys did i did not. i didn't take my sea sick meds and did not feel up to it. I had a good first dive and didn't want to push it. it is after all a very deep dive a long way from help. so i streched out on the deck and took a nap in the sun!!

Smart decsion.....nothing better than catching some ZZzzzz's

I got my first certification in 1984 so i've had some time to "season". I am also looking at the TDI Advanced Nitrox and some kind of Extended Range/intro to Deco course. Any suggestions from the rest of the readers? pro's Cons?

by the way. we're going to dutch springs tomorrow (sat 11nov) anyone game?

I'll be doing my Advanced Nitrox/Deco Procedures dives this weekend. It's a great class, very streamlined. The IANTD Adv nitrox class seems more in depth about the math, but only allows you to use 50/50 mix max. Talk to some instructors this weekend and ask about the classes they offer.

I looked at all three books (PADI,TDI,IANTD) before I decided to take the TDI class. The instructor was recommended to me by a diver I trust. The books were very different, which surprised me.

I found a guy I like and I bought the TDI Advanced(nitrox) package from him. He teaches both TDI and IANTD course at the same time. The Fla trip came up kind of sudden and did not allow me to take the course. I wanted to do the Hanger deck of the "O" in the worst way but without the training, I had a great dive to the flight deck level. Thanks for reply and opinion.

I've been diving thr "O" since she went down this past spring. I was even out there the day she went down. The day before she went down, I was diving the Tenaco with Hal Wats and other "legends" in the diving field. That was kind of off topic, but I have well over forty dives on her, and I still find new compartments and such on every dive.
And just as someone that actually works the wreck as a divemaster, those of you diving down to the flight deck level, and staying for any amount of time, are not only endangering yourself, but those of us that are in-water supervision. Especially those of you who have very little experience with narcosis, and don't know much about the dangers of pushing MOD's on EANx.
Just remember, dive safe, and in the words of Hal Watts, "Plan you dive, dive your plan."

Hey, TDI advanced nitrox+deco are good courses do them and learn it well, i wouldnt bother with extend range as its really just more gas managment which if you cant do after deco you shouldnt be doing tech dives. If you want deeper just do tri mix courses.
sandersondiver whats the cost of a 2 dive trip out to the O ??
Im surprised that US operators are so blaise about letting openwaters on this site, is advising them of rec limits there only saftey policy? surely there are guides with some control?
Love to know there insurance premiums.......
