I currently use a Canon A620, Canon housing and Inon 2000 strobe. I'm thinking of adding a second Inon 2000. To those that use two strobes how much difference does it make? Is it overkill to have 2 strobe on a P&S?

I figure I'll upgrade to a G9 soon (and yes I know all about ttl, and how it won't work with an Inon, I've addressed that question in the Canon forum).

Definitely not overkill. You will get more even lighting on your wide angle shots plus it is great to help eliminate shadows on macro. I had to go back to one strobe recently and sure missed having two.

I decided on adding a second strobe and wait a little before I upgrade my camera.

The biggest difference (in my opinion) is that overall quality has gone up, it's "easier" to get two strobes almost right then one strobe "perfect"....
