We were thinking of doing a liveaboard but were wondering what they do with their trash. I know cruise ships are notorious for dumping and a lot of locals complained about it when we were visiting Roatan recently. The liveaboards are definetly smaller then the giant cruising cities. Does anyone have info on this?

I'm no expert, but I have been on a lot of live-aboards and what I observed was that the bio-degradable stuff goes out the side and they store all the other trash for disposal at the port.
