Thermalution Yellow battery connector question

I have a thermalution yellow vest. I understand they are no longer in business, but am used to doing my own repairs on stuff.

The electrical connector between battery and vest is flakey; I suspect a broken wire.

Does anyone know what the type of connector is they use on the vest/battery? Is there anywhere I could source a replacement connector or set of connectors? Or, is there an alternative connector that someone might recommend?

I believe it's a type of E/O connector, which is seemingly the scuba industry standard for a waterproof, pressure-proof, wet-mateable connector. I have very similar-looking connectors on my VentureHeat vest, but I haven't had a lot of luck sourcing an identical replacement connector.

If you're willing to give up the total waterproofing, 2-pin M16 or XT90 connectors could be worth a look.

Could be the connector, more likely its the wires right by the strain relief on the battery.

More testing - it's actually where the wire from the vest goes into the connector. If I isolate everything else and just gently rotate the strain relief, it causes the issue. Whether it's the actual connection between wire and female contacts inside the connector or the wires at the strain relief, it's that spot - so either surgery on the connector or a new connector is required. Again, the connector coming out of the vest, not (sadly) the battery side.

Be aware that the Venture (version 2) E/O connector is larger than the Thermulation connector -- which is a good thing.

I've got a growing pile of "broken" Thermulation vests & bad batteries and broken VentureHeat vests...and the parts are in no way interchangeable.

Turns out I'm in luck. My buddy (whose vest this is and I'm repairing) had a problem with the original controller, so they sold her another controller complete with charger. So we have a spare charger to cannibalize for ends.

Yea - other people's dead vests! Sadly, I'm not kidding. My buddy's vest had a broken connector on one battery - I scavenged the connector off a spare charger to fix it. There are NO parts for these vests that I can find anywhere - the company has ceased to exist and any parts went with it. No contact info, etc. etc.

But the vests don't last forever. Once the hand controller dies the vest is pretty much toast, so these can become a source of batteries for other vests. (and spare connectors if need be).
