there seems to be a mis-conception about urca de lima.

The urca de lima sank off of pepper park in 1715 There is currently wood timbers and such around the wreck site however they are not from the urca de lima they are from a different wreck the civil war era paddle wheeler that sank in proximity to the original urca de lima wreck site.
the ballast stones however are that of the de lima. The Paddle wheelers starboards wheel lies in 8' of water 25 yards offshore 1.1 of a mile north of the site and that is where the timbers came from. This solves the riddle of how one ships planks lasted longer than other ships that sank within hours apart. Its still a great dive and should
be preserved.
no riddle just coencidence that the ships sank so close together and were built 150 years apart.
