If you had to chose between Blue Angel Dive Shop or Papa Hogs who wins? I am a newbie.

I have not used Blue Angel but Papa Hogs was extremely good to us. I would highly recommend them with no reservations.

No experience with Blue Angel but I have dove with Papa Hogs. They are very accomodating and do a great job of tailoring groups and dives based on abilities and experience. Only drawback was my old back was fully challanged by their small, fast boats.

I have not used Papa Hogs, but I have used Blue Angel several times. Very personal service, small fast boats, great divemasters. They will let you dive your profile if they are comfortable with your skills.

We dived with them for 3 days, small groups, quick boats. DMs were good and didn't treat you like you were novices (if you weren't).

Last day, three divers canceled at the last second and they ran a trip for just my partner and I...very cool.

Don't know much about PH ops...the groups we observed there were pretty loud and raucous, looked like a frat party.
