PADI partners with underwater world broadband TV channel

29th January 2007 sees the launch of the world’s first broadband TV channel dedicated to the mysteries and marvels of the underwater world and PADI has developed an exciting partnership with www.theunderwaterchannel.tv. UWC TV is fuelled by the passion of divers, oceanographers, surfers, snorkellers, scientists, students or the simply curious who cannot get enough of the underwater world. UWC TV will entertain, educate and interact with a global audience over the world-wide-web.

The concept of a Broadband TV Channel dedicated to the diving world is long overdue and PADI is delighted to be forging this relationship and exploring the opportunities it presents. UWC TV will allow the worldwide community to see and learn about the marine environment in a new and exciting way. The shows can either be viewed directly from UWC TV’s website or via a banner - link in the “Keep Diving Section” of padi.com. UWC TV also provides a banner link from their website to padi.com. Future plans include embedding the actual viewing screen in padi.com and at least one future episode will include a profile of PADI.

Benefits accruing from this partnership include access to yet another audience with diver acquisition potential and development of the content of the content on padi.com offering users and new visitors further inspirational information.

Emmy award-winning, Nicholas Claxton from the UK is the channel’s founder and highly respected member of his industry.

A pilot edition of the UWC TV’s output will run for ten weeks and will be available for everyone with access to broadband around the globe. So take a few moments to visit www.theunderwaterchannel.tv

Excellant, I tape everything off TV that has anything to do with being underwater, even if it is with a ROV or submersible.
I will definatly check this out.

Will definitely have to check this out and see if they'd be interested in casting some of my stuff. Thanks.

Cool!

I hope PADI does a better job than they did with Deep Blue..... This has been needed for a long time. I think i posted something about the need a couple of years ago. Cooking, golf, ya name it, it has a channel, bout time we have water world channel.
