The Maltese archipelago is well-known in Europe for high-level recreational and technical wreck diving.
Due to the strategic location of Malta during IIWW, divers of all levels can enjoy some of the most fascinating historic wrecks in the Mediterranean Sea. Also, we cannot forget the effort made by the MTA (Malta Tourism Authority) to sunken new wrecks to promote the diving industry in the Archipelago and the collaboration in research and education of the UCHU (Underwater Cultural Heritage Unit).
One of my favourite wrecks is the oil tanker, "Um el Faroud", sunken artificially in the southeast of Malta. I did more than 200 dives. I never get bored!
