I LOVE the compass can be hidden with just the North icon and the marker icon in green thats a fantastic idea. perdix firmware should be easy enough to update for this awesome feature.........

Won't work quite as well on a rectangular screen though?I LOVE the compass can be hidden with just the North icon and the marker icon in green thats a fantastic idea. perdix firmware should be easy enough to update for this awesome feature.........
I think it would work better than the tiny little compass you can select while being able to see the rest of the infoWon't work quite as well on a rectangular screen though?
Sure it will. they'll just have to program a circle for it to follow.Won't work quite as well on a rectangular screen though?
I'm not sure what you mean? I meant that on the Teric it floats around the edge very smoothly as it is a circular display. If they program the Perdix to display around the rectangular perimeter, it will not move as uniformly - not likely a big deal, but the Teric display is more intuitive given its shape. Now, if they were to overlay it as an actual circle, it will obscure data as it moves, no?Sure it will. they'll just have to program a circle for it to follow.

We'll see what they come up with if they implement in a firmware update. I suppose the arrow could both move and rotate (i.e., it can't always point to the edge as it can on the round display) as it tracks around the rectangle, but I'm sure they'll implement it the best way they can if they do it.i really dont think it would be a big deal to follow the rectangle shape of the perdix screen at all
Those dots? Not likely to obscure much that a twist of the wrist won't reveal. Now, if they were to overlay it as an actual circle, it will obscure data as it moves, no?
I think it a wise decision, and you can be sure that they won't stop innovating. These guys are relentless in their pursuit of perfection. I was in a dive shop yesterday, and I think I was close to being mugged for my Teric! If I buy the Teric
