I posted a similar ? before and got some great answers. I really like the Zeagle Ranger. I have also been looking at getting a Dive Tek Mono tec from my local dive shop. The only problem with it is a lot of people have never even heard of Dive tek and I don't think it will hold double 121s. I want a good bcd that is easily changed from singles to doubles also one that has the right bladder so that when I do have a single tank I dont have a bladder dragging Behind. any suggestions. Oh and what about the Brigade?

If you want a BC that's ideal for switching between doubles and singles, and can use the right wing for the job, I'd have to say a backplate and wing is probably your best bet. The BP manufacturer isn't super important, but I hear FredT makes some good ones. As fart as wings, I use a Halcyon 30 for singles, and an Oxycheq 40 for doubles.

You can add me to the list of people who have never heard of Dive tek.

Never heard of Dive Tek either.

I suggest you look at offerings from:

Deep Sea Supply
Golem (incredible price, great product)
Oxycheq
Halcyon
Dive Rite

All of these manufacturers live and die making gear to do EXACTLY what you are asking for. I trust their products to get me home safely. And nearly ALL the cave divers in my local area trust one or more of these brands. The owners of the first three companies are regulars here on ScubaBoard and do a WONDERFUL job supporting the members here.

Oh, and by the way, I change from singles to doubles with my setup as well though I don't dive 121s. 108's are as large as I plan to lug around! :)

Why use an optional anything, when you can have a system expressely designed for the task at hand? If he already OWNED a Zeagle, that might make sense. But starting from scratch???
