Hi,
I am planning to go to Grand Cayman with my family this July and we are planning to stay at the Reef Resort and dive with Ocean Frontiers. My mom isn't a diver, but she likes to chill on the beach. Just wondering if the reef resort and OF are good choices and if the reef resort has a nice beach. Our main focus is diving and chilling on the beach. Thanks!

Haven't stayed at the Reef as we have a place at Morritts next door, but it is a very nice facility. Nice club that has some live entertainment and a bar on the beach....the beach along the East End is very nice...the reef breaks the waves so it is good for kids also. And it is white, white, white.

Dove with Ocean Frontiers last trip and they have a very good operation. Nice boats & great staff. Got printed logs of all our dives also. They have a very good website that lists all the dive sites, with descriptions & location, they go to.

We're going back for a week in Sept.

I stayed at the Reef, condo was nice, great beach and pool area to hang out at. OF is good. I'd do it again.

Just returned from two weeks at the Reef and diving with OF. They are a great operation. Ask to be with Brett. He is a really good captain and enjoys diving especially the swim thrus. This was our 5th time to the East End and I wouldn't ever dream of staying on SMB. If I wanted traffic I would stay home. Non divers will enjoy the beach and there are plenty of other activities for them to enjoy as well.

Have a great trip.

I 100% agree with the other posts. OF is a great dive operation. You will have a blast.

The beaches on the East End are nice, but are a little rocky and not quite up to par with the SMB area. However, they are nice beaches and should not effect you mother's time on the beach. The sand is nice and they have made it really a great place. Beaches usually are not crowded at all. I love the East End.
