:FAQnew: New in ScubaBoard 2021

Some of you may have noticed that there is a new option when starting a new thread.

The Question thread type is explained in this Frequently Asked Questions thread.

Edit:
The first pass at adding the Question thread type to the appropriate forums is complete. Please send a DM if you find a forum that doesn't allow it but you think should.

We are in the somewhat time-consuming phase of adding this new option to our nearly 500 forums, so please be patient.

What's with the "Up/down vote" on some forums. How does that differ from "Likes"?

Are you referring to the OP/Post #1? This is the announcement for this new feature/capability explained in the unfurled link — which is why it is here in ScubaBoard Site News. This is where we point out new features and changes.

There is a detailed explanation in the link above. It is important to remember that a Question "title prefix flag" may not also require using the Question "thread type". More members probably should use it but it takes a while for everyone to get used to new features.

How does that differ from "Likes"?

"Likes", more precisely Reactions in this update, are entirely different.

They allow each member to react to individual posts with one of the following options:
