Don't be fooled into thinking that it's just Aqualung that follows this practice. If so, they would have gone out of business a very long time ago. I've not done a survey, but I am sure that ScubaPro does exactly the same thing. I'd really like to know if Oceanic does or does not have these restrictive policies in place?

Our policies are quite different. I'm not going into detail here but they are nowhere near as restrictive.

Oceanic policies and quality customer service is probably why I see mainly Oceanic equipment in most of the dive operators around the world. Thank you!

Please, go into detail.

If they're not illegal, and they're not questionable, then there's no reason not to post them.

It's really between the dealer and us. It would be like Ford telling you how to get your local Ford dealer to give you the best absolute price.

If we were like AL that sure wouldn't be the case!

Best,

Chris

Of course, there's nothing like buying something at one price and then finding out someone else bought exactly the same from the same dealer 10% cheaper to make you decide never to go near that place again!

Thanks for understanding! ;)

Just spent a few days last week at the factory working on new products. Oh, if you only knew!:D

It's going to be an exciting period for Oceanic and divers as we go forward.

Yeah well you better hurry up and give some of us on the inside of the shops a taste of what's coming. I have oceanic regs, bc, and some other stuff. But I'm getting ready to upgrade into some more technical gear. Although I do have a couple alpha's on semi-reserve for my stage bottles that I'll be getting soon, I'm gonna need a new buoyancy system for doubles and when I'm ready to buy I will. Most likely before the end of July and no later than mid-August. I'd like to stay w/oceanic but DSS is looking real good!

Whats wrong with a mearchant trying to get top dollar? That's why you shop around, it makes them competitive.

end July we won't have what your looking for. Sorry 'bout that.
DIN PX3's and GT3's are what I use on my tech rig. I like to be able to dial in the second stage and the swivel on the first is optimal for stages.

Sorry for the hi jack, if anybody has Oceanic questions could you please post in the Oceanic section. I'm gonna keep this on topic here from now on.
