New issue of Scuba Diving mag has a couple in it...

I've got a Balance myself. I have yet to fly with it... so far it's only been in my trunk on my trip to The Keys. Will rectify that situation next month - Coz here I come!

Bp and wing??? Look at the $449 package at www.northeastscubasupply.com.
Go for the smaller weight bags.

BP and wing can't get much smaller, or one of the soft pack varieties: DiveRite Transpac w/travel wing is my favorite also heard good things about the O-pac from OxyCheq.

Agreed about the BP ... as long as it doesn't run you into weight restrictions. But many don't come with integrated weights (something the thread originator asked for).

The Dive Rite TransPac II with Venture wing packs up nice and small ... and light. If the 30 lb Venture isn't enough lift, I'd recommend an Oxycheq 45 lb wing. I'm amazed how compact that wing is for the amount of lift you get.

Agree with BP/W, but you can also look at Zeagle's line (I believe the Scout and Escape? should fit what you're looking for).

I have the same concerns w/travelling. I bought a Seaquest Balance and took it to Costa Rica this year. Packs down great (folds nice and flat) and is a very comfortable BC. If you get one, make sure you get a 2004 w/the mechanical locking weight pockets.

NirvanDT:
A BC that can be packed easy for travel & still have all the bell's & whistles; back inflate, intergrated weights, ie.

Last year I went to Australia & Quantis only allowed 2 bags per passenger on there planes. With my Black Diamond BC & my underwater housing for my camera, I had no room for my clothes, so I'm looking for a small BC to save space.

Any good one?

Since you're looking for "bells and whistles," presumably, you aren't looking for a BP and wings. The Zeagle "Scout" is lighter
than and an AL BP and wings (just checked) and it doesn't have a space-wasting cummerbun. Cummerbuns remind one of Sans-A-Belt pants, i.e., if you wear the pants, you have to wear the belt. If you consider cummernuns either a bell or a whistle, the Zeagle "Escape" has one. They're both are weight-integratred But the "Escape" has more weighting options. The "Scout" can be had for around $200.00.
