STA

A single tank adaptor. Its a contraption that bolts to the back of the plate with slots for cambands used to attach a single tank to a backplate.

The halcyon single tank wings have an integrated STA in the wing and do not require one.

Sorry used the search deal and remember I saw this post before but I can not find it. Looking for a easy/small bc/bp for travel I have zeagle ranger and like it but it is bulky to travel with. Need a travel bc/bp for warm water 3 mil suit or skin and alu 80 only.Like back inflate but I feel it takes a little more work on the surface waiting on the boat on a drift dive were the normal bc was pump it up and go limp. Can someone point me to old posts or give suggestion? And what is this new bp oxy? something wings? And where can I find more info? thanks

I used to dive a transpac with a travelwing.

Now I use the Buddy Travelwing with a plastic backplate. Love it. Cheap to. Can do independant doubles (if they're lightweight -AL80 e.g.- ...) for travel, this comes handy if you need to improvise

I'm wearing it on the pic that's attaceh to my profile.

I am partial to the Dacor sportster myself. Extremely inexpensive and folds nicely flat. Sure it doesn't have the nice features of more expensive BCs but what it does have works very nicely.

one of the reasons i got a bp/wing (halcyon) was that it packs very small. that is true for any bp/wing setup. first i thought about getting the alu bp at 2lb. in the end i got the steel. 4lb difference really is not much. if i had to pay for 4lb extra baggage (which is unlikely) it would be a negligable amount of $.

I just got a Zeagle Escape and it packs down pretty small if your interested in something besides bp/wing setup.
