Hmm, who is to say that your ISP will be around or even if email is still delivered with the same protocols.

ISP may be different, but it's HIGHLY unlikely that SMTP will be going anywhere. It's been with us a LOOOONG time.

I was going to ask "how much does that cost?" as if they are just trying to get rich quick - who is going to remember in 20 years?

Now thinking about it, you give them your email, they put it in a list, sell it on and more spam starts coming along - making the folks rich from selling the info - just indirectly rather than upfront with my first assumption.
