I think I saw a post a while back on here about the "bag drag", but unable to find now, so here goes...will be flying out of Cancun on our departure back with an early morning flight... Is it best to stay in Cancun or is it fairly easy to navigate to Cancun from playa del Carmen early in the mornings so we could spend our last night there? Recommendations for hotels that are nice and priced good appreciated... Staying at Mary Carmen in Cozumel for $30/night , so something along that price with as good of reviews would be awesome!
 
My sister in law stayed at a comfortable cheap air b n b in the little village near the airport to catch an early flight. Otherwise playa is easy. I avoid cancun itself because it's the wrong direction and is a big city.

Ok so it looks like an hour from playa to airport so any suggestions for hotels in playa near ferry or bus terminal :)
 
My last trip I stayed at Hacienda Del Caribe the night before my flight. I booked it online and it was $41 including taxes. It was on a week day. Its a block from the bus station and half a block from 5th Ave. Very clean, no issues. The bus took almost an hour and a half to get to terminal 3 at the airport. It stops at the other bus stop in Playa then terminal 1, 2 and finally 3. What time is your flight?

Ah, 1045 is late morning. To catch that flight you could stay in Cozumel or Playa or Cancun, you have lots of options. If you plan for a 0930 arrival (if using ADO the arrival times are for terminal 1, for terminal 3 add 10 minutes) you should have plenty of time ever to check bags and clear security. At 178 MXN for the bus to the airport (it's only 68 to downtown Cancun) for 2 or more persons a taxi at around 600 -650 MXN is also an option.
 
I got a private taxi from the cruise ship to the airport. Seems like it was $40 and took about 45 minutes. I took the first ferry over. Seems like I was at the airport about 8am. It was January before last so can't really remember.

@mobeachlovers look at Hotel Cielo in Playa. 4 blocks from ferry 2 blocks from bus station. Email the owner he will work out something. Great location Great Hotel

Do you know the name if it and/or how your sister got to the airport in the morning from the BnB?
