One of my fav's ... but you have to like drama. You should be able to pick up the extended version which is very much extended.scubahorse:

famous freediving cult movie. I got a kick out of the Japanese team member hyperventilating and passing out before he ever left the surface during the competition. Oh yes, and watching Rosanna Arquette. HOT. Next time you watch it give a try at holding your breath the whole time Jean Reno does the rescue of the trapped scuba diver early in the movie...

Funny that this topic should come up today: Just bought the DVD (extended version) 2nd hand yesterday and started watching it last night, after not having watched or even thought about it for years. Unfortunataly I hadn't expected it to be that much extended, so I had to stop it half way through and go to bed... Mmh, guess I'll have to finish it today then and see in what way the ending is different from the cinema version - they ... well, was told not to give away the ending...

Mayol survived.. only to comit suicide not so long ago, I believe at age 72. Mayol authored Homodelphinus, Dolphin Man, a popular freediving cult book.stefo2:
