And just what are you basing this upon? I have owned Mares regs for years and have NEVER had a problem getting it serviced or getting parts for it. I own the following Mares gear:

V16 Orbiter
MR22 Abyss
MR12 Proton
MR12 Epos

The Orbiter is older of the regs I own, and yet I am still able to get it serviced and parts for it.

I have friends that dive the Viper and they don't have any problems getting them serviced....

Just my experiences....
