Thank you for starting this thread. Hopefully other members will contribute to this fascinating subject. The USS Monitor itself is one of the most significant designs in the history of naval and marine architecture.

There was a write up in the news about an expedition (using an ROV) that revisited old wrecks
called "Valor in the Atlantic expedition" in May 2022 and had a good report about the Monitor.
The ship is in great condition considering its age and being cut into years prior.
