I got to Thatch Caye a few days ago and it is a fantastic place. A private island 9 miles off the coast and 3 miles from the reef. Travis and the staff are all super friendly. Bernie, the cook, makes some mean food, too! I am staying in a little house, a casita, right on the water. We went on a short dive today and it was typical for the area. Great vis and that fantastic reef. I really recommend this place to anyone that wants to get away from the over populated dive spots and come to an eco friendly resort to dive and chill. I will post updates after more dives.
