Hello all,

I have signed up and just been absorbing the ambience for some time but not posted before as usually somebody who knows more or has stronger opinions gets in first, but as scubaboard were so good as to make me feel my age I thought I should introduce myself.

Diving recreationally since 1996, I have dived mainly in UK apart from annual holidays. Sea / Freshwater / Shore or Boat enjoy it all - and that is all it is about for me. Make it safe then enjoy it.

Part of making it safe is keeping on learning - which checking out here helps.

Thanks again.

Clive (sorry no catchy nickname but some do call me Clive the Dive)j

Welcome to ScubaBoard. Glad you finally got around to introducing yourself.

A very belated, WELCOME to ScubaBoard!!!
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLIVE!!!
How old are you? HUh?, come on you can tell me, I can keep a secret.
Just write it right here, I won't tell, HONEST!

Tom

Hi there Clive,
Welcome to Scuba Board - the greatest online place, the fastest growing, and the nicest! You can meet a lot of helpful people here and it’s an awesome place to get answers about scuba diving. If you ever want to chat feel free to PM me. Take care and safe diving from Matt. :thumb:

No experience needed and it feels great!

Heya Divin' Clive ;)

Welcome to scubaboard! Don't let the folks with the strong opinions keep you clammed up. I'm a newbie, so I want to hear everyone's perspective. Folks on here have stong opinions from time to time, but in general this is one of the most civilized 'net communities I have come across. I hope you enjoy yourself here. :)

Clive, glad you finally posted!! Have a good one!

You got a birthday greeting? Great! Did I get one?

Anyway - Howdy!

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest!
If you'll simply click ScubaBoard.com above, you'll be taken to our long list of forums, a wealth of information and resources. My favorite is at the bottom: Singles Dive Club.

It would help in future diving discussions if you'd complete your Dive Info. You can use the Quick Links above to reach those easily. Sizing a photo for your profile or Avatar can be a challenge; I'm a fumbling amateur, but I get the job done, if you'd like any help?

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message." :thumb:

No secret Tom, no-one can change it! 52 now

Thanks everyone for the welcome and for the offers of guidance from Matt and Don.

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Don't forget to fill out your profile and dive info, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically within the UK from your profile, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.
