The Texas Parks & Wildlife Expo is scheduled for October 4th & 5th at TPWD headquarters, 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, TX. TPWD: Texas Parks & Wildlife Expo
There are displays for both fresh and salt water, including a Flower Gardens display. Lots to see and do. Last year, 40,000 people attended the Expo.
One of the featured attractions will be the DEMA pool. Myself and Eric Peterson of Aquarena Springs have been working hard since last October to get the pool to this event. The DEMA pool is a large above ground pool and will give non divers a chance to experience scuba. There will be folks on hand from Oak Hill Scuba, Scubaland and Tom's to staff the event. Come on out and join us. Please have your non diving friends bring a swim suit so they can give scuba a try.
This is a great opportunity to give our non diving friends and family members a brief glimpse into the sport we enjoy so much.
