Texas Flower Gardens Macro or Wide?

I would say your opportunities for macro are better than wide-angle. BUT...I'm suggesting that for averages/dive. In the summer, it's not unusual to encounter manta rays close-up, that could provide some great wide-angle shots. In winter, the hammerheads are usually way overhead and not close. I did see a number of other sharks in winter at close range that could provide some nice wide-angle shots. There are some amazing potentials for wide-angles, but don't be surprised if you come up short on some dives. With macro, you can pretty much always find something to shoot. As such, it really depends on what kind of shots you want to go for and how much you're willing to gamble on each dive.
