In the late 1950's and early 1960's Skin Diver magazine had a monthly Miss Driftwood contest. Texas was well represented.

Proud...sure...but not surprised! The most beautiful women in the world live in Texas. Why do you think those fellas drive around with bumper stickers on their cars that say, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as soon as I could!"
