I'm up here in Tacoma duing a site survey for an upcoming job in June-July. I'm looking a being here for a week to two weeks and looking for some pointers on good local dives and dive shops to hook up with in the area.

I would like to meeting up with a group of local divers for any available shore diving. I'm a NAUI OW with Nitrox. I have over 50 logged dives, (20 salt, 30ish in local lakes and rivers). I got a full rig with a new dry suit, so all I'll need is air.

Contact the folks at Tacoma Scuba ... they may be able to hook you up for a dive or two ... http://www.tacomascuba.net/

Also might want to join and post on the NW Dive Club forum ... http://www.nwdiveclub.com/index.php?sid=a32e039fb2d2d5305fa4b47ad5e14112

Lots of really friendly, really active divers there.

Or just send me a PM ... if I'm not already committed, I'd be happy to take you out for a dive or two ... :D

What are the dates you will be here?

There is a very active community of divers here. Whether you want to dive weekdays or weekends, you will be able to find somebody to show you the local sites.

You are lucky to be in Tacoma -- Some of our better charters go out of the south sound, and one of my absolute favorite dive sites is there (Titlow Marine Reserve).

I visited the guys at Tacoma Scuba last night. I got to see some of the wolf eel videos shot locally. I wished I had a dive site light that in my back yard. I heading out today, but will be back in late June. I'll be able to comfirm dates at the end of the weekend.

Thanks for the input.
