Does anyone know how I can test the intermediate pressure on my S600/Mk25 (apart from taking it to my LDS).

The reason I ask - I have had one for 4 dives and it seems to breath harder than my old Tusa TR400 at 40m (for about 4x the price). I expected (and had been told) that it would perform much much better...

A guage used to measure engine compression is a good start point. You have to be able to measure 120 to 150 psi so a guage that maxes out at 300 is ideal but 200 will do. Then it's just a matter of whatever it takes to adapt from the NPT fitting to whatever scuba fitting you design to connect to. I got my adapters from leisurepro.com.

However, it is unlikely your problem is IP. More likely, it's a problem with the tuning of the 2nd. Unless you are handy and adventuresome, this is probably a job for your LDS.

Your right. If your Mk25/S600 is working properly, you should be hard pressed to find any regulator that breaths noticably better.

Thanks awap,

I had already decided to take it to my LDS - I don't want to break brand new kit!
