Robin, thanks for the info. I use Corel Video Studio Pro, it seems OK but I am sure there are other suites that allow a better control in post, that's why I am still researching other software. I should be getting my gopro next week and I have a trip to Grand Bahama this year - hopefully I will be able to post something half decent

If you have a windows 7 64 bit multicore with graphics card, look at Cyberlink Powerdirector 10 64 bit. Hands down the fastest processing and rendering and outstanding codecs including H.264 lossless. I quit using iMovie on my MacBook Pro for this. At least twice as fast and you don't have to wait for it to pre-render. The only 64 bit software (although Sony Pro new version may be 64bit). I have Corel Video Studio Prox4 too and use it on a machine with AMD MB and it is not bad but even on a 6 core CPU the 32 bit is sloooooow. I like the Corel but it's not nearly as slick as Powerdirector.
