Re Philippines, I dived on Puerto Galera, El Nido and Bohol. Bohol has tiny Balicasag island (reached from another island called Panglao) which has fantastic wall dives with sea turtles everywhere. Puerto Galera has good variety but a number of lacklustre sites, but from there you can reach Verde island which is truly spectacular (hard/soft corals, more nudibranches than you can poke a sick at,teeming with fish).
