14. High Tides
High tides at Radio Islandthis weekend:
Sat Nov 12, 2005 high tide 5:04 pm
Sun Nov 13, 2005 high tide 5:36 am, 5:56 pm
The water temp was 68 warm degrees at RadioIsland Monday.
Here's a good site to check the tides if you are likeme and can't keep up with a chart. Also, if you put a link for this inthe newsletter, then you won't have to change it every week.

15. Recent Conditions in the Graveyard
Thur Nov 3- The Indra was reported at 30’ of viz today.
Fri night Nov 4 – The Radio Island jetty had about 8’ of viz and 66 degrees. Sat Nov 5 – The U352 had 30’ and 72 with enough current to make things interesting for our advanced class divers. The USS Indra had a little less viz and 67 or so degrees, which is still aquarium-like for us lucky locals, eh? Sun Nov 6 – We had divers on the Senateur Duhammel today with about 20’ of viz and 63. Two very large sheephead were so hospitable they invited themselves home for dinner. Our boat captains and mates have been “playing” a bit lately deer-hunting and fishing. They limited out on kings two days in a row. Capt Leroy was a little evasive when asked for the coordinates of his new rocks where divers had 15’ of viz in 90’ of water. Student divers had a great time on the Indra this afternoon with temps somewhere between 63 and 65. Viz was a murky 15 to 20. Sometimes that murkiness is due to the clouds of baitfish, which was partly true today. Intrepid aquarist Dale Hansen got a juvenile Queen Angel about ¾” long (1.905cm). The Lobster Wreck had 74 degrees and 80’ (EIGHTY!!!) feet of viz, and a bug or two too. The Normmania and Cassimer also had 80’ and 75 degrees. Monday Nov 7 – Yes you read it here first: Radio Island is still in the high 60s. Viz was 10-12’.Our diver last week must have been in a little spot of cold current. Wednesday Nov 9 – We explored the new, revised Indra today. It was a beautiful day with 1-2’ seas although the wind was building to 15+. We had a good 30’ of viz in 63 degree water. Wear your hood! Topside the water was gorgeous, then a layer of white particles, then on the wreck, it was just another beautiful day in the graveyard! We saw a school of big amberjacks, at least a 10 lb grouper, and a juvenile loggerhead. We wonder what the wealthy folks were doing today. Capt Nemo
FYI: Capt Nemo is at the Indra as we speak so he’ll have a verytall tale for you next week I’m sure!!
