I'm heading to the Big Island in about 3 weeks (second week of October) and am wondering what type of thermal protection to bring. I usually get cold quickly in temps below 80 F and wear my drysuit. Above 80 I'm okay in my 1 mil full suit with a 3 mil core warmer. Above about 83 F it's just the 1 mm for me.

So any of you residence of the Island or who ever has visited their in October give me a hint at what to expect (mostly shore diving with a few boat dives).
Thanks!!

My dive logs for last october show temps between 78 - 80
I wear a 3/2 mil wetsuit year round, not just for warmth but to protect you when inside those caves, archways etc.

Aloha,
Sam

Thanks guys, looks like right on the edge of my 1 mm and a 3 mm core warmer!
