Roakey's response about the cave temperatures is correct. It's the average temp of the region...and man oh man, does that warm clear water feel good :)

It seems like there is a cave or a spring on every streetcorner in northern florida. It's a lot of fun down there. A cavern class is definitely worth it, just to see what you think of it.

You mean there isn't ANY light inside the caves? Scary.

The Florida panhandle caves run a bit cooler...
Vortex, Morrison, Cypress, and Jackson Blue are 68.
Hole-in-the-wall is usually 64 but varies a bit.

And nope...no light in the caves at all. Zero. But you use a powerful primary light (canister, typically HID) that REALLY lights up the cave. In addition, we carry two smaller backup lights.

They really are truly breathaking things, the caves...sooooo gorgeous.
