Hey Adobo, since you have both the Essentials DVD and the Intro to Tech DVD, what's your opinion on overlap between the two? Based on the descriptions of content alone, it seems like the Intro to Tech DVD covers everything that the Essentials DVD covers plus more, and there's voice over and "grease pencil" overlay. Is there benefit to both or will I get all the info from the intro to tech DVD?

Yes there is a lot of overlap. However, for most recreational divers the essentials dvd is more appropriate in that all the skills and presentation material applies to recreational diving. The intro to tech DVD contains skills that are not necessarily applicable to recreational diving and might serve to confuse a new diver (valve drills in doubles, stage switch, toxing diver rescue, etc.) Additionally, the class material is more advanced and assumes some base knowledge that would have been established in essentials.
