Maybe you could remember the trip by going to the donkey sanctuary on your last day instead. Certainly less risk of infection.

Donkey Sanctuary = Bonaire's version of the Donkey Show?

Not sure I get it?

Plus infection.

A tattoo on Bonaire, as a memory is a personal decision, neither good nor bad. Personal.

As for safety and sanitary, while tattooing is not totally risk free, ever, anywhere, getting inked on Bonaire is not exactly like getting one done in the toilet in the back of a bar in Tijuana, on a drunken Friday night binge ( where you just might find you married a dancer, too, come Sat morning)

Bonaire is Dutch, and they are not exactly some backwater Mexican border town.

I say go for it. Looking at pics of Bonaire and as Gypsyjim points out its Dutch so a quick google finds heaps of tattooists...ones with webpages even. I took a souvenir home from French Polynesia done with sharks teeth and boar bone on a beach in Moorea, Bamboo work from Cambodia - neither of which had walls. The tattooists on the webpage seem to have walls - its your body, your choice, your way of remembering a time and a place, go for it.

I have yet to get any infection from any tattoo and ive been getting them for 30 years on three continents. Do your research, find a clean shop and you should be fine. Assuming you have other tattoo's you know what you are doing, if you are a cleanskin yes, remember what your mother says, tattoo's don't come off in the wash. Sure there are risks but some people are cool with taking that risk. If its their skin its their business.
