Well I found something that I think is what I was looking for and will post a picture as soon as the brochure gets here. The following is from an online article.

Creative Critters has designed a Speedo for your tank. Give your tank color, visibility and protection and cover up unsightly marks (just like a bathing suit) with the Tank Skin. Colorful nylon/Lycra material is stitched to slide easily on and off your tank. Caring for the material can be done with mild soap or a dunk in the gear tank after a dive. Five color schemes are available: rainbow (dark blue to a pink hue), lime green, hot pink, yellow (with quilted floral pattern), and orange. Tank Skins are $19.95 plus shipping and handling.

For more information or to place an order, call Creative Critters at 860-870-1487.

I'd like to see something like a whiteboard magnet to stick to your buddie's tank and write their name on it, so when diving in a group you can tell them apart...but I guess it wouldn't work on Al.....hmm....I suppose tape, but that's be waistefull....

Well I was thinkg of that and because I sell silk screen shirts I am thinking of silk screening my friends names on theirs and mine.

2 words: Entanglement hazard.

and...most reputable dive shops dont like to fill, let alone do custom blending, on tanks that have their markings, hydro and vis dates covered up. Keepthat in mind when plastering stuff on your cylinder.

Your favorite auto bumper sticker applied to the tank boot works pretty good.

In recent months I've seen a lot of writing on light colored fins, from "Have a good day "to "If you can't read this you're not close enough" (husband and wife team).

maybe lamenent with thick rubber bands... hold it tight against the tank and it's not permanent for those that are renting. it would also keep anything from dangleing and causing any hazards.... could also put your Max Operating Depth in bigger numbers...stuff like that.
