ah! For sea urchins, immersion of the effected part in hot water will suffice to melt the needles. No need to pee or lower the pH.

For jellyfishes, lowering the pH by use of vinegar/peeing/kalamansi will only stop the stingers from firing (shocking you). You will still need to clean it out.
