Another vote for mooncup or diva cup. I've used one since 2011 (not just for diving).

It saves money and hassle, means you never run out of pads or tampons at an awkward moment, and works perfectly once you're used to it. Make sure you get the right size, though!

I'm leaving this for other women who will have this question in the future.

Another vote for a cup. I've used one since 2008 and am still using the same one so I've saved a lot of waste which is awesome. The best part is I can put it in proactively when I'm anticipating my cycle, or when ovulating. I can leave it in there for way longer than a tampon with no health risks/issues like TSS. (I leave mine in 1-1.5 days at a time when I'm really light.) The drawback is that it requires practice and has a steep learning curve to insert and remove, all without having leaking/accidents. For the first few cycles, I wore backup liners. On my heaviest days, if I think I may risk leaking due to availability of facilities or at night, I will wear Thinx as a backup.

Lifechanging!
