Hi Islandheart,
Thank you for choosing SCUBAPRO for your BCD. Yes, a special tool is required as designed to be removed, replaced and tightened by an Technician at an Authorized Dealer. The other two valves are designed to be removed by the diver to aid in cleaning the interior of the BC.
