How clear?
Haven't dove Tahoe in 30+ years but my guess would be 200ft+. And like Eric, I love them crawdads! And don't forget Donner Lake.... Not as great vis as Tahoe but north shore is easy access loaded with dads!

It was as clear as a swimming pool when i dived the rubicon wall in the fall, about 150ft vis

but it also is as boring as diving in a swimming pool unless if you like starring at wet rocks
