I am sure there is no bad time to dive Tahiti, however, when is the best time? Any place we absolutely must dive? Where is the nicest and best place to stay. Who are the A-1 dive operators?

Since I dove there and when I did it was with ClubMed. I suggest an internet search. Diving was excellent, vis 100+ feet, colors, reef, and wildlife fantastic! Go and enjoy. (Don't know about Nitrox, there wasn't any back 10 years ago).

For water clarity, you want to go in their dry season, which is our summer/early fall. I can highly recommend TopDive in Moorea, Bora Bora and Rangiroa.

For diving, I'd stay either on Moorea or Bora Bora. Though I had my favorite dives off Huahine, the tourism infrastructure isn't the same there.

Can anyone compare the diving in Moorea and Manihi? I won a trip to these two locations :), and I want to try to choose one or the other to minimize my flying/non-diving time.

I am also interested in more info on French Polynesia. When is the best time to go? Which islands are recommended for diving, other than Bora Bora and Rangiroa? Can anyone recommend some nice pensions or other less expensive accomodation?

Thanks,

Gustaf

I dove on the Tahiti Aggressor a Few year Ago. The price is all inclusive so you know how
much your going to spend. Every dive we did was Great and that was 4 a day. No night dives they were afraid of Tiger Sharks. The one thing I remember on land everything was
Expensive!

aquatica dive center in tahiti will take you to the best sites on the island. they even do day trips to moorea. Kia Ora hotel on Rangiroa is awesome and they have a great dive shop. i believe it is called dolphin dive shop. good luck...im jealous!

I just booked the Tahiti Aggressor in March 06. Very expensive, but I've heard it's the best way to dive there. And like the others said, everything is expensive there.

Have a great time. I know you will, wish I could go to!

No night dives?! BUMMER! Especially for the price you pay.
